What about dues?

Dues are how workers pool resources to level the playing field with employers, who have access to significant resources. As a CUPE member, you and your co-workers set your own dues rate. This ensures your bargaining unit has access to resources to assist with issues like health and safety, education, communications, research, legal matters, human rights, pay equity, and contract negotiations.

Members vote on the local dues rate and how funds are spent. CUPE 4754 members have chosen a dues rate of 1.75% of regular wages. That means for every $1,000 you earn, only $17.50 goes toward union dues.

Union dues are also 100% tax deductible!
